The team at Salem’s Sunnyside Care Center is celebrating achieving a deficiency-free survey for 2007.

Donna Kelsey, Senior Vice President of the Pacific Region for Kindred's Health Services Division, presented staff with a Silver Award of Excellence. The plaque reads: For their fantastic achievement in attaining Zero Deficiencies on two consecutive State/Federal Standard Surveys. Both the 2007 Silver Award and 2006 Bronze Award of Excellence are on display in the facility with room for a Gold Award of Excellence, which we are now striving to earn.

Sunnyside has served the Salem area for over 25 years and has gone through many changes over the past decades. They recently completed part of a cosmetic face-lift. This included installation of private phones and individual small-screen television sets for each of the beds in the skilled unit. Recent surveys are available for review; they are located in the lobby of the facility.
